Manoli Moriaty is a music producer, performer, and scholar. Emerging from Manchester's electronic dance music scene, he has previously published research on Human-Computer interaction, polydisciplinary collaboration, and digital turntablism. Holding a PhD from the University of Salford, he currently serves as a lecturer in music production at Liverpool Hope University
At SMF 2024, during the symposium, he offered remarkable insights into the academic side of DJing, showcasing an innovative visualization method designed to archive and analyze DJ sets. This approach highlighted DJing's depth and structure, bridging performance with academic study and setting new standards for how DJ sets can be understood and documented.
